King's Park Academy

About Us

King’s Park Academy was established in March 2015 under the sponsorship of the Ambitions Academies Trust and currently offers a mainstream Primary education. We are now part of the Authentic Education Group.  We are situated in Ashley Road, Bournemouth and provide education to children mainly from the local area of Boscombe and Littledown. The Academy is on one site which is led by our Chief Education Officer, Matt Britt,  and our Principal, Lauren Dean.  The Multi Academy Trust provides strategic leadership for the Academy with the CEO reporting both to the Governors and the Multi Academy Trustees. More information about the Trust can be found on the Trust tab. We also frequently work in partnership with our local secondary schools who are very close by.

We are a three-form entry school for boys and girls between the ages of 4 to 11 and each class has approximately 30 pupils. If you would like further information about joining our Academy and our Admissions Policy, please contact the school office.

Vision & Ethos

Vision

Together we are…

Courageous Innovative Excellent

We are an outstanding, values-based school at the heart of our culturally diverse community, striving for excellence, enabling our children to achieve their highest potential in all areas of the curriculum.

Our vision is to create a school community where children participate, succeed and are proud of their achievements. We strive to actively promote British values and prepare our children to become role models, thus preparing them for life in modern Britain.

“Everyone is a learner and every experience is a learning opportunity.”

King’s Park Academy has three key objectives:

  • Ensure all pupils and young peoples’ achievement is their very best.
  • Improving schools by outstanding leadership
  • Achieving “operational economies” across Ambitions Academies Trust in terms of “value for money” and organisational resilience.

King’s Park Academy work on the principal that:

“………… the quality of an education system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers.”

Sir Michael Barber

Ethos

King’s Park Academy (KPA) demands high expectations for all. In everything KPA does we always refer back to our mantra that encapsulates the belief that KPA must have outstanding teaching and achievement.

This leads to the highest achievers as we all thrive to better ourselves. Children and staff are challenged and supported to get the best possible outcomes. Children, with the support of their teacher, set themselves goals and targets which they then challenge themselves to meet.
